  12.  NOTE: WHEN YOU INSTALL LETTERHEAD PRO FILES, A FILE NAMED CLEANUP.EXE IS 
  13.  PLACED IN YOUR WORDSTAR DIRECTORIES. THIS FILE WILL REMOVE ALL TRACES OF
  14.  LETTERHEAD PRO WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED. DO NOT TYPE "CLEANUP" AND  STRIKE
  15.  THE ENTER KEY IN YOUR WORDSTAR DIRECTORIES UNTIL FINISHED WITH LETTERHEAD
  16.  PRO. IF YOU DO SO, YOU WILL HAVE TO REPEAT THE LETTERHEAD PRO INSTALLATION
  17.  PROGRAM.

  20.  Thank you for your interest in Letterhead Pro. This program requires only 
  21.  that you have WordStar 7.0 or higher installed. Because the macro language 
  22.  was first released in WordStar 7.0, prior releases of WordStar may not be 
  23.  used. Letterhead Pro will set up 16 graphic sample letterheads, 6 logos, and
  24.  1 watermark into WordStar. Each letterhead and the watermark has a macro that
  25.  installs it into any WordStar document when the macro is activated.
  26.  
  27.  After the initial installation is completed, WordStar will automatically be
  28.  called up with a document entitled LETPRO.DOC on screen.  (It does not 
  29.  contain the same information as this file.) LETPRO.DOC contains instructions
  30.  on how to use the installed macros, as well as instructions for designing
  31.  and ordering your own customized letterhead, logo, and watermark.
  32.  
  33.  LETPRO.DOC is a WordStar 7.+ document and must be printed from inside
  34.  WordStar. You may use LETPRO.DOC to guide you through the display and 
  35.  printing of the letterheads. The document was set up using COURIER 10cpi so
  36.  that it would print the order form and other items correctly on almost any 
  37.  printer. You will be shown how you may obtain your own customized graphic 
  38.  letterheads. All instructions, worksheets, and order forms are included.
  39.  
  40.  You may design your own letterhead, convert your present printed letterhead,
  41.  or have CPI Software design a letterhead for you. CPI Software will place
  42.  this design into WordStar's graphic PIX format, add a macro, and return it to
  43.  you.
  44.  
  45.  If the printer you are currently using will print WordStar graphics, it
  46.  will print graphical PIX letterheads. This includes lasers, ink jets, and
  47.  dot-matrix printers. You do NOT need special printer drivers or any other 
  48.  add-ons to place a customized professionally created letterhead on your
  49.  WordStar documents. WordStar and Letterhead Pro are all you need.
  50.  
  51.  Before starting the installation, refresh yourself on whether you used the
  52.  Normal or Custom installation when installing WordStar. If you do not 
  53.  remember, then locate the path to the macro files, graphic files, and 
  54.  WordStar document files. Use the Custom installation for Letterhead Pro
  55.  and type in the path data when prompted.
  56.  
  57.                                  INSTALLATION
  58.  
  59.  Letterhead Pro may be installed in one of three ways. It may also be removed
  60.  from your hard disk (uninstalled) using the CLEANUP command below. This BBS
  61.  install program is an "Anywhere to Anywhere" installation. When you download
  62.  the BBS ZIP file, it may be unzipped in any directory or drive in your 
  63.  computer, and installed directly from that directory or drive. The only 
  64.  condition is that it may not be installed to the same directory where you
  65.  downloaded it. In other words, do not unzip the file in the C:\WS directory
  66.  and then attempt to install it into the C:\WS directory. If you have already
  67.  done this, copy the zipped file to another directory, and then unzip and 
  68.  install Letterhead Pro.

  70.  1. Normal Installation:
  71.  
  72.  This installation corresponds to the WordStar default installation, where
  73.  all the documents, are in the \WS directory, macros are in the \WS\MACROS
  74.  directory, and graphic images are in the \WS\INSET directory. If you
  75.  did not make any changes in the directory locations since installing 
  76.  WordStar with the normal installation, then this is the method of choice.
  77.  Unzip the downloaded file, type INSTALL and strike the ENTER key. Follow
  78.  the onscreen instructions for the normal installation.
  79.  
  80.  2. Custom Installation:
  81.  
  82.  This installation will let you place the document files, the macros, and the
  83.  graphics into any directory you wish. You must know the path to each of these
  84.  directories. For example, if you placed all documents into a directory named
  85.  "DOC" off the main "WS" directory on drive "C", then this would be the full
  86.  path:
  87.  
  88.                                C:\WS\DOC                           
  89.  
  90.  You will be asked: a. the drive letter, b. the path for document files, 
  91.  c. the path for macro files (files ending with .WSM), and c. the path for
  92.  graphic files (files ending with .PIX or WSG). If you are not sure how you
  93.  had  installed WordStar, then use this method. Locate these files before the
  94.  installation, and write down their proper path. Even if you used the normal
  95.  WordStar installation, this method would work, if you know where the files
  96.  are located.

  98.  3. Manual Installation:
  99.  
  100.  This method does not use the Letterhead Pro INSTALL program, but it must be
  101.  done exactly as follows: 
  102.  
  103.  a. Locate where the WordStar document files, macro files, and  graphic
  104.     files are on your hard disk. 
  105.     
  106.  b. After you unzip the downloaded file, copy these files into the proper
  107.     directory:
  108.  
  109.            1. PRO.EXE into the documents directory.
  110.            2. MACROS.EXE into the macros directory. 
  111.            3. GRAPHICS.EXE into the graphics directory.
  112.  
  113.  c. PRO.EXE, MACROS.EXE, and GRAPHICS.EXE are self-extracting files. You need
  114.     only to type their names and strike the ENTER key, and the Letterhead Pro
  115.     file(s) will be extracted from them.
  116.  
  117.  d. When the files are extracted, the file CLEANUP.EXE is used to remove all
  118.     Letterhead Pro files from the directory (see below) at a later time. 
  119.     CAUTION: Do not activate this file by typing CLEANUP and striking the 
  120.     ENTER key until you are finished using Letterhead Pro. CLEANUP.EXE 
  121.     removes all Letterhead Pro files, and you would have to repeat the 
  122.     installation to use the Letterhead Pro program.
  123.  
  124.  e. After extracting all files, call up WordStar. When WordStar is on
  125.     screen, open the LETPRO.DOC file. Print the LETPRO.DOC file just as you
  126.     would print any WordStar document. Use the LETPRO.DOC instructions to 
  127.     guide you through the printing of the letterheads. Then use the Worksheet
  128.     and Order Form to obtain your customized letterheads, logos, and 
  129.     watermark.

  131.                          UNINSTALLING LETTERHEAD PRO
  132.  
  133.  The installation places the file CLEANUP.EXE into every directory where 
  134.  Letterhead Pro files have been placed. When you wish to remove all installed
  135.  Letterhead Pro files, simply go into any directory and type:
  136.  
  137.                        CLEANUP   and strike the ENTER key
  138.  
  139.  You will be asked if you want to uninstall all Letterhead Pro files in that
  140.  directory. After pressing the ENTER key, you will be asked to confirm your
  141.  selection and all installed files will be removed, including CLEANUP.EXE.

  145.  Letterhead Pro for Word for Windows, Letterhead Pro for WordPerfect for DOS,
  146.  Letterhead Pro fro WordPerfect for Windows, and Letterhead Pro for Ami Pro.
  147.  In addition, Laser Letterhead plus and The Laser Letterhead Kit are available
  148.  as a stand alone DOS programs for laser printers. We have been designing
